SIMOA’s Page

Hi, I’m SIMOA

I’m a child safety mascot used by Scotland’s Care Inspectorate to promote the “Safe, Inspect, Monitor, Observe, Act” (SIMOA) campaign

I will be helping to teach the principles to children, families, and staff.

SIMOA has been busy at nursery helping the children to keep safe whilst out and about when learning about safety on walks. SIMOA has a little backpack to support children to take her out. SIMOA also has their own high-vis vest as a safety reminder to our children.

The children also have the opportunity to take SIMOA home for the weekend and our families will share with us how SIMOA has helped them to keep safe when at home and out and about. Here are some of SIMOA’s recent activities whilst out and about with the Investigators.

: SIMOA keeping everyone safe with seatbelt reminders
