Seabeach’s Friday Adventure

We’ve all been there right?, It’s Friday, It’s been a long week, the(week)end is in sight… what better way to round off a busy week than taking yourself away from it all?

That’s exactly what the Seabeach Preschooler’s did this morning.

We had a quick morning snack and then took ourselves off to get the bus… To Holyrood Park no less!

Did we immerse ourselves in the history of this iconic Edinburgh landmark?…erm… not quite. (But we did have a really cool chat about St Anthony’s Chapel)

Did we climb to the very peak of this vintage volcano… not a chance!

What we did do though is exactly what 3 and 4 year olds WANT to do when they visit this amazing expanse of greenery; RUN,  ROLL, CLIMB and JUMP (I should clarify that we were not near the edge at anytime!) We also visited the pond to say a wee “good morning” to the swans and to look for frogs (to no avail)

This was a great morning outdoors with lot’s of fun. Activities like this are encompassed in the Health and Wellbeing outcomes of the Curriculum.

Above all else we gave Kirsty a geography lesson, today’s topic being how to tell the difference between Calton Hill and Arthur Seat. tut tut tut Kirsty!
