Preschool Marshmallow Construction – Rocking Horse

This week the preschool children have been looking at building and construction sites. So within the Health and Wellbeing curricular area and also within the Technology area we have been looking at problem solving and also using our imagination to create something new. We provided the pre-schoolers with tooth picks and with marshmallows and asked them to make us something new. The children didn’t hesitate to start there structures. The end products were great we had a marshmallow man, a roof, a castle and even a Nursery, along with other great ideas. The children enjoyed this activity a lot, but the best bit was eating the marshmallows.
