Today the Explorers have been watching the squirrels and birds in our nursery garden eating the bird food we put out for them. As an activity staff provided the children with the opportunity to make bird cake with lard and bird seed, we then added the mixture into a cylinder to set in the fridge. When it set the children watched as Nicole hung the bird cake in our tree.
