Seabeach had a visit from the super cool Jo Jingles this week. This was a sample session to see how we felt it went and if it would work in our setting. The children really engaged with the leader and enjoyed singing, dancing and playing their instruments in time to the music as well as other games. We especially enjoyed the games that we played using bubbles…they were the best bubbles ever and for about an hour after the session we were finding errant bubbles in the strangest places! There were lots of positive, musical vibes throughout the session and it was a great, feel good time for everyone!
Sessions like this where we are singing and using rhyme come under the Literacy part of the curriculum.
Expressive Arts is also covered within this activity as we were expressing ourselves, dancing and moving our bodies
