Who here loves getting messy?
The babies & Toddlers of Seabeach do… so here’s a little activity we rolled out to them in our back garden. It’s a very simple and easy to clean one so don’t worry about doing this at home.
All you need is some shaving foam and some messy-loving little ones! (Oh… and no fear of EVERYTHING turning white.)
First thing we done was put out small blobs of foam on the table, allowing the children to explore this perhaps new and funny feeling texture. It didn’t take them long at all to get stuck in and before you knew it the shed was covered in foam, the door was covered in foam and the table was more white than blue!
This will be an on-going focus for the children who are interested in messy play. The shaving foam was just the start! The interest originated from a couple of the babies who always managed to get in some sort of mess. It was like mud, sand and water were just waiting for them! So we introduced shaving foam as the start of our messy focus. We plan on doing this again for other children who missed out this time and continue with a variety of different materials.
