Chinese New Year @ Rocking Horse

This month, the Investigators have been learning about Chinese New Year.

The role play area was transformed into a restaurant, with dressing up and chopsticks. The children created their own Chinese calendars, dragons, wrote their names in Chinese and their story of the month was ‘Bringing in the New Year’ complete with its own story sack.

Outings included a  trip to the museum to explore artefacts, a trip to the shop to buy food for food tasting and a walk in Figgate park to play Chinese match the pictures game.
