As you are all more than aware we at both Active Kids establishments were running a bake sale last week to raise money for Forth One’s Cash for Kids.
I don’t know about you guys but even as I write this a week on my tummy is doing nauseating flips thinking about all those delicious sweet treats…or maybe that feeling is dread, dread that I’ve still not braved the scales since! (hands up if you over induldged?!)
Anyhoo at this point though, all jokes aside, I cannot thank you enough for your support and generosity. I tend to commit myself to these things without any real thought about the necessities and logistics… ‘do I have enough time, help, resources? (my attitude being sign up now, panic and harass work team later) however, a brief ‘here’s my vision’ chat with Lucille (she loves those) and a quick call to Brooke up at Rocking Horse and we soon had a plan. We would join forces!
From then on in it was well and truly game on. The children baked up a storm within the nurseries and the staff, the staff?… you guys didn’t let me down.
As well as something for the sweet tooth we also supplied (at a wee cost) bacon rolls at morning drop offs!…all in favour of making this a legit ‘thing’ from now on say “AYE”
All this though would be nothing without your outstanding support. At the risk of repeating myself I can’t stress enough that we are only as amazing as the support we receive and you guys well and truly ROCK!
A total of 320 pounds was raised, which is an incredible amount for two small nurseries.
